Thyme's demeanor shifted subtly. 

"But keep this in mind," she warned. "I'll play along... for now... but I won't always be in the mood for your games."

"But you're in the mood now?" he inquired, a touch alarmed. Thyme knew how to chill when the mood hit her.

"Only because, well, I hate those lectures. And I'll be able to tell Auntie honestly that I couldn't make it. That I was a bit tied up."

"But... come on... there's always a but..."

She stared him down. "Don't start thinking you can play kidnap games whenever you feel like it. Like that time you thought about grabbing me and driving me off to your Uncle's place. Now that first time you drove me around all tied up and gagged in the back seat, that was fun, but only because we were playing. But that next time, well, I had things to do that weekend."

"You saw me..."

"With my third eye, you might say."
