Motors whirred, and Miranda slowly started to rise. "Stop!" she pleaded. "I only need a minute!"
"Sorry mam, but no permit is no permit," he informed her. The crane started swinging Miranda back to the roof.
"I got tied up like this for nothing?" She looked and realized she was going to get tied up again, only this time, officially. The cop had his handcuffs ready.
"Not nothing. There's trespassing, causing a public disturbance, and a couple more charges in there," the cop assured her.
"You'll still get on the news, honey!" her agent assured her.
"Sorry mam, but no permit is no permit," he informed her. The crane started swinging Miranda back to the roof.
